Our goal, through your generous donations, is to fund improvements within our Women’s Soccer Program. With the continuous growth of Women’s Soccer in the United States, we must continue to grow the resources for the players we currently have and those we are trying to recruit into the Hornet Community at Sacramento State.
These donations from our generous donors will help to fund the Women’s Soccer Annual Operating costs. The operating fund covers a large variety of expenses, such as recruiting costs, equipment, practice and game fuel for the athletes, and travel. This coming 2025 fall season we are taking the team to Hawaii, a trip that we make every other season. These types of trips provide our student-athletes with the opportunity to share lasting memories with their teammates and this program.
We are also always looking to build on our resources, including enhancing our use of technology with on-field data wearables that will help us manage player workloads to keep players healthy and less likely to be injured. Through wearables that collect hundreds of metrics, we can make sure that we minimize injuries to be ready for the Big Sky Tournament and NCAA College Cup. We also are constantly looking to provide our athletes with recovery tools such as foam rollers, massage guns, and recovery boots. This coming season, we are also looking at growing our on-field training equipment to allow our Student-Athletes to be able to work on their craft by using items such as rebounders, more soccer balls, updating our cones, and other items that will help develop our Student-Athletes both technically and tactically.
Our yearly campaign goal is necessary to raise funds that our general operating budget doesn’t cover. With your help, these various items will allow us to provide a Division I experience for current players as well as prospective student-athletes. Our goal is to always find ways to enhance the student-athlete experience while part of the Women’s Soccer Program for years to come.
Thank you for your support! GO HORNETS!
