This past year we brought home the Big Sky Tournament trophy and we could not have achieved that goal without your support! The experience of playing in the NCAA tournament is something last fall’s team will never forget. We want to be able to provide the best experience possible to for our student-athletes in their academic and athletic goals.

On this Give Sac State Day, we want to first thank those that have supported us in year’s past. The money raised helped provide some needed upgrades to the Hornet Beach Complex. Recently, we were able to replace multiple segments of old and deteriorated windscreens along the South, North, and East fence lines during this past off-season.
For 2026, we ask that you consider a gift to the beach volleyball program. The funds raised today will be used to enhance our student-athletes and fan's experiences. We are currently focusing on two areas that will have a major impact on our program. They are Hornet Beach Complex enhancements and the establishment of a beach volleyball scholarship endowment.
Hornet Beach Complex improvements include:
- A large scoreboard that provides one location for each of the court’s scores and updates.
- On-site storage for training and game operations equipment.
- Permanent coverage for teams, officials, operation staff and fans.
- Live streaming of all Hornet Beach Volleyball Matches.
Moving forward, we are also looking into the creation of our first beach volleyball scholarship endowment. This will create an opportunity to provide financial support to year-round training beach volleyball athletes. An endowment allows Sacramento State to increase its opportunities for female athletes to join our current roster of hybrid two sport indoor and beach volleyball student-athletes. In order to provide a yearly scholarship for beach volleyball, we are setting a short-term goal of raising 400,000-500,000 dollars toward an endowment.
