Invest in the Future of Public Media and Sacramento State Students
Support a first-of-its-kind partnership between CapRadio and Sacramento State to create paid, hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for careers while strengthening local public media. Early support for this bold new initiative helps build the foundation for long-term impact.
This is a restricted fund, meaning gifts are set aside specifically for these student internships, and hands-on experiences. Support goes directly to building this program and cannot be used for other purposes.
What your gift makes possible.
Your gift today, opens doors for students to step into real-world roles at CapRadio — gaining paid, hands-on experience while bringing new ideas into the work that shapes how our community connects and learns.
Students also bring fresh ideas and new perspectives into public media — helping teams evolve how they connect with audiences and tell our region’s stories. By giving today, you are helping students learn by doing — bringing fresh ideas into public media today while preparing them for meaningful careers ahead.

About CapRadio
CapRadio is a mission-driven public media organization committed to helping our community stay informed, engaged and connected. As the region’s only nonprofit broadcaster with a 20-person local newsroom, CapRadio produces locally reported news alongside classical music and jazz programming that reflects and serves our region. Our work reaches listeners and readers through broadcast, streaming, newsletters, on-demand audio and in-person experiences across 32 radio towers and digital platforms.
CapRadio is known for fact-based, nonpartisan reporting, in-depth coverage of state politics and government accountability, community-centered journalism and locally hosted classical and jazz programs. Each week, nearly 500,000 people across the greater Sacramento region turn to CapRadio for news, storytelling, music and connection they can trust.
This commitment to being a trusted, respectful and informative public service is what makes CapRadio a vital resource for our region — and why investing in the people and programs behind this work matters for the long term.
