A Network That Grows With You

A Sacramento State education creates value that lasts well beyond graduation. As alumni build careers, lead organizations, and give back, they strengthen a network that continues to open doors for the next generation of Hornets. Through the three key areas below, your support connects alumni and students in ways that extend the return on a Sac State education — turning student investment into lifelong opportunity.

Alumni Association Programs

The Sacramento State Alumni Association connects more than 280,000 Hornet alumni through mentorship, career-readiness workshops, professional networking, and volunteer opportunities that support success after graduation. These programs provide guidance on navigating life after college, finding employment, and building fulfilling careers — extending the value of a Sacramento State education well beyond commencement.

Alumni Chapters Scholarships

Alumni Chapters are alumni-led communities organized around shared geography or interests, connecting Hornets who live, work, and lead in the same regions or affinity groups. Chapter scholarships provide direct support to students while strengthening the regional and affinity-based networks they will rely on after graduation. These scholarships help students stay enrolled and focused on their goals, while connecting them with alumni who understand their paths, challenges, and career aspirations — creating a bridge from college to life beyond campus.

The Hornet Family

The Hornet Family is made up of devoted supporters who come together through organized communities — including the Retirees Association and the Renaissance Society — to support students and strengthen Sacramento State. These communities share a commitment to student success by investing time, experience, and resources to ensure students can complete their degrees and are prepared for success.
