On this Give Sac State Day, I hope you would consider a gift to the Hornet Gymnastics program. Your support helps give our student athletes an increased college experience in their academic and athletic endeavors. We are still raising to finish setting up the new gymnastics training facility, including a new resistance mat system for floor tumbling and beam dismounts, as well as a blind system for our industrial windows. We also would like to increase our ability to fulfill nutritional and sport psych support for our athletes. As a Program we would like to hire a sports psychologist to work with the athletes on a weekly basis as needed.
The athletes could also benefit greatly from a pair or Normatec recovery boots. Normatec compression boots/legs is a dynamic air compression massage that helps your legs feel refreshed faster. These aid in recovery from practice and meets to get them feeling better and ready for the next.
An important project we have already started working on is our dedicated Hall of Fame area in the facility. Along with Hall of Fame inductees, this will feature all-time team and individual records, including top team scores, event records, top individual scores, and post season records. The Hall of fame is in its final stages of implementation before announcement. We need your help to make the installation of a permanent Hall for generations of Hornets Gymnasts to enjoy, admire, reminisce, and aspire to be in!
