Preparing Leaders Who Strengthen Public Life and Community

The College of Social Sciences & Interdisciplinary Studies (SSIS) prepares students to understand people, systems, and communities — and to apply that understanding in ways that create meaningful impact. Through interdisciplinary study of human behavior, culture, policy, and society, students develop critical insight, analytical skills, and a strong foundation for leadership and civic engagement.

The College plays an essential role in preparing graduates who strengthen public life and contribute thoughtfully to a complex world.
