The mission of the Division of Criminal Justice is to prepare the leaders of tomorrow’s criminal justice community to make positive decisions. Through a multi-disciplinary curriculum and a faculty with diverse expertise, experiences and perspectives, students are exposed to the theories, applications and ethics related to crime and justice. In today’s increasingly changing justice field, the Division strives to see beyond the prevailing justice paradigm and develop students who will be competitive in a global marketplace of knowledge and career. We are committed to graduating students who are critical thinkers, strong writers and who will be active members of an engaged citizenry.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our program and our students have had to adapt to a new way of learning. There have been changes to internship settings and all classes have moved to virtual platforms. On top of the pandemic itself, these academic changes have been challenging for many of our students and the Division of Criminal Justice is committed to helping all students succeed.
Please consider supporting the Division of Criminal Justice General Fund. This fund allows the department chair to allocate funds to the greatest needs in the Department—and during these times those needs are focused on our students. So many students are experiencing financial hardship due to this pandemic and your support can directly and immediately help them. Thank you in advance for your support.
