The Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex has been helping students gain the knowledge to become some of the 21st century’s finest scientists since it opened in fall 2019. These students are future leaders who will tackle worldwide challenges such as climate change and health aging – and issues we can’t yet imagine. The state-of-the-art complex enhances the learning and research underway at Sacramento State, furthering our ability to increase access to hands-on research experiences for science students, provide greater course access and a faster path to a degree, foster community engagement through the Planetarium and Observatory, and more.
