Making the Future at Sac State
We know we are facing a unique and challenging present. But we haven’t stopped looking toward the future for our student and our University.
While we can’t gather together on campus right now, we’re still looking forward to a future space on campus for students to come together, explore ideas, and make our future.
Sacramento State’s new MakerSpace is a hands-on, collaborative learning environment where students of all backgrounds can explore ideas and engage in creation and innovation. More than a science lab, design or art room, or woodshop, this is the ultimate versatile space with a shared goal: to make things happen.
Your donation today will make this vibrant, creative learning space a reality.
The MakerSpace encourages students to explore new ideas, solve complex problems, and discover real-world solutions for our future. This is how we prepare our students for the 21st century.
Within the MakerSpace, the possibilities are endless:
- Using design thinking, teams of physical therapists, engineers, and designers can collaborate to design and make 3D-printed models of prosthetics for real-life application.
- Students and faculty can work together to write code for an evidence-based educational software program for K-12 students.
- Any student or group can take a real-life problem, develop a prototype or solution, and learn about what it takes to bring a product to market.
With your donation, we will purchase the tools, equipment, and materials to build out our MakerSpace for all students. Join us in bringing this amazing resource to life.
