For 25 years, the Community Engagement Center (CEC) has facilitated campus and community partnerships that make a difference in the lives of our students and the Sacramento region. CEC engages members of the Sacramento State campus to become aware of and respond to local and global community concerns through:
- Service Learning
- Community Volunteer Service
- Civic Engagement
- Academic Internships
The work of the Community Engagement Center is grounded in principles of equity social justice, and anti-racism. By working with, not for, students and community partners, CEC supports the empowerment and resilience of students and community.
As students participate in CEC programs, they are increasingly engaged both with the campus community and in the larger Sacramento community, resulting in a sense of belonging and contributing to persistence toward degree completion.
With your support, CEC can continue to grow their programs, and ultimately, ensure that community engagement opportunities are a vital part of every Sac State student’s academic experience.
