Students help artist Shay Church bring ceramics installation to campus

The primary mission of the Department of Art continues to be engaging Sacramento State students in the fine arts within a liberal arts context. While offering an academic major for undergraduate students who intend to pursue careers and graduate study in the visual arts, the Department also promotes an appreciation and understanding of the fine arts in the Sacramento State student population.

By making a donation, you will help fund our vision for:

Resources and studio spaces for our newly approved Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) students
An expanded visiting artist series
Much needed upgrades to our two galleries - the Robert Else Professional Gallery and the R.W. and Joyce Witt Student Gallery
Equipment and technology replacements in our sculpture, ceramics, new media art, and printmaking areas
