The Sacramento State College of Education graduates a wide array of education professionals that go on to shape the lives of generations of students and families. Through their service as teachers, counselors, school psychologists, special educators, workforce and career specialists, professionals in deaf-related fields, and leaders in public and private institutions throughout the Sacramento region they work to transform our region and state to solve educational equity challenges.
Our programs are rigorous but our students prove to be determined and committed. Under the best of circumstances, our students are under financial pressure. But now, during this unprecedented public health crisis when many of our students have lost their part-time jobs, these financial pressures are becoming an even greater barrier to completing their degree or credential. For many, receiving a scholarship will be the lifeline that allows them to stay in school this coming academic year.
Your support is more important than ever before! Thank you for considering a gift to one of the funds below.
Harold and Linda Murai Racial/Social Justice and Access Teaching Credential Scholarship
This new scholarship was recently established to honor Dr. Harold and Ms. Linda Murai to support students pursuing a teaching credential with the bilingual authorization. Gifts to this scholarship will not only honor the impressive and far reaching legacy of the Murai’s but will also nurture and support the next generation of educators with a demonstrated commitment to social justice and equity.
College of Education General Scholarship
Gifts to the general College of Education scholarship fund will support students across all programs with the greatest need. Scholarship recipients are selected by the College scholarship committee. Your generous contribution will provide a critical boost for meritorious and committed students in need of financial assistance.
College of Education Annual Fund
Your generosity helps provide funds that touch all aspects of the College, including scholarship support, technology upgrades, student activities, innovation in curriculum, and other emerging needs. As we equip our faculty and students for virtual instruction during this time, your support to the College of Education Annual Fund is especially vital.
Your donation to support College of Education scholarships or the Annual Fund helps our students achieve their goals and continue our proud tradition of service to the children and families of the region. We are so grateful to all our alumni, friends and partners for your support!
