The ASI Food Pantry exists to provide food and basic necessities at no cost to Sac State students in need. The Food Pantry aims to decrease the impact that food insecurities have on the academic success of Sac State students. It is increasingly challenging for students to juggle the costs of living while working to obtain their degree. Many students are finding themselves choosing between basic essentials such as food and basic toiletries and the required costs of tuition, fees, and books. The ASI Food Pantry helps to alleviate hunger within our student community.
Donations of any size make a huge impact:
$25 - Your gift of $25 can provide a grocery bag of food to 5 students for one week
$50 - Your gift of $50 can provide increased healthy options and toiletries to 10 students for one week
$100 - Your gift of $100 can support one full day of operations and assisting over 30 students
$250 - Your gift of $250 can provide over 1,000 lbs of non-perishable goods and help to serve over 75 students for one week
$500 - Your gift of $500 can provide over 2,000 lbs of non-perishable goods and help to serve 300 student for one week
$1,500 - Your gift of $1,500 can cover the cost of two weeks of operations for the purchase of both non-perishable goods, fresh produce, and toiletries for over 700 student visits
