Your generous support helps the Department of Art continue to support our academic programs and student success through visiting artists, new equipment and technology, and enhancements to facilities.
The primary mission of the Department of Art continues to be engaging Sacramento State students in the fine arts within a liberal arts context. While offering an academic major for undergraduate students who intend to pursue careers and graduate study in the visual arts, the Department also promotes an appreciation and understanding of the fine arts in the Sacramento State student population.
By providing even a small donation, you can be part of our effort to fund our vision for:
- An expanded visiting artist series.
- Much needed upgrades to our two galleries - the Robert Else Professional Gallery and the R.W. and Joyce Witt Student Gallery.
- The creation of our BFA studio lab.
- Equipment and technology replacements in our sculpture, ceramics, new media art and printmaking areas.
