Why we need your support
The health of all people relies on a healthy supply of well-educated nurses. Sacramento State’s School of Nursing is known for its high quality standards, and our students are highly sought after by employers. Our awesome faculty, state-of-the-art equipment and dedicated students make Sacramento State’s School of Nursing one of the best, and our goal is to continue supporting our future nurses.
How you can help
We encourage gifts to the following funds, but with the ever-increasing need for philanthropic support, a gift to any department or program is greatly appreciated.
Nursing White Coat Fund
As nursing students put on their white coat, they are putting on the responsibilities of nursing and pledging to carry out these responsibilities in a manner consistent with quality in nursing care and the ethical obligations of the profession. This white coat has both a practical and symbolic significance as it creates a uniformity in appearance, and also symbolizes the code of ethics and standards that all nurses are expected to embody. Supporting this fund will lessen some of the financial burden on students by providing them with their very own white coat.
School of Nursing’s General Fund
This fund allows the department’s chair to provide support where the needs are the greatest in the School of Nursing.
