School of Music

The School of Music is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Faculty and students come from across the country and around the world to teach and to study, and to open doors to a broad spectrum of artistic and intellectual pursuits.

The School of Music provides a diverse offering of performing ensembles, including symphonic wind ensemble, concert band, symphony orchestra, instrumental and vocal jazz, choir, opera and percussion. Additionally, we are proud to lead The Sac State Marching Band, the largest and loudest spirit organization on campus!

We offer a variety of performances and community programs and workshops throughout the year to guests of all ages throughout the Sacramento region and beyond. We enjoy partnering with our community, friends, donors, and music-lovers to bring excellent musical entertainment and education to our city.
