When we can all come together, we create a strong community. I’ve recently noticed that there are access barriers that prevent all alumni and community members from participating in a wide-range of event offerings. While we’ve made great strides in accessibility, I believe our Sacramento State Alumni Association can do more to provide an accommodating space.
I am leading this campaign to enhance the Harper Alumni Center to provide access to events for those who cannot navigate the football stadium or basketball gym, cannot endure severe outdoor elements, have limited mobility, are located outside the region, or cannot participate in large gatherings.
This inclusive approach helps our Hornet family remain connected and allows all to show their support for our current students. Your support provides:
- Expanded openings to create a large indoor/outdoor space for gatherings;
- Added large portable screens to stream events; and
- Enhanced sound equipment.
