The College of Social Sciences & Interdisciplinary Studies (SSIS) shapes the future leaders of our communities through a broad offering of majors, all connected in their commitment to social justice and civic engagement. Your gift to the Annual Fund today will support our students in three key ways:

Living Laboratories & Experiential Learning

SSIS will expand support for learning opportunities beyond the classroom for students to work with local nonprofits, organizations and agencies in internships and related fieldwork. 


Encouraging Dialogue & Civil Discourse

SSIS will bring a diverse array of speakers to campus, virtually and in-person, to engage our students and community in critical social justice conversations. 


Creating Educational Equity

Building on our existing expertise, SSIS will continue to support antiracist education and research through scholarships and programming. 


Your Annual Fund support will help to expand experiential and field learning opportunities for our students and prepare the next generation of leaders to tackle the complex issues facing our communities and beyond. 

Supporting the SSIS General Scholarship Fund or the department from which you graduated is another great way to make a difference today! The SSIS Scholarship Fund will provide critical financial support to our students facing the greatest need. Department funds equip our faculty with resources to enhance student success, teaching, and research.
