At Sacramento State, we are proud to be the oldest nationally accredited program of Recreation Administration in the CSU System, and our program was recently awarded another 7 years national accreditation with the Council on Accreditation of Recreation, Parks, Tourism and Related Professions.
The Sacramento region truly values its connection to nature and the outdoors, its cultural history and heritage, our nationally-known music festival events, and our amazing food scene. For 70 years, our department has provided students with exciting, broad-based curricula that include both stimulating in-class coursework and practical out-of-class field experiences that prepare students to host the region’s visitors and provide local residents with quality leisure experiences and activities. It’s these opportunities that make Sacramento such a great place to live and visit.
When you support RPTA, you support a range of student opportunities. Our department now offers three separate bachelor of science degrees: Recreation Therapy, Recreation Administration, and Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Our students’ education has and will always be our top priority. Students’ lives and way of learning have changed, and supporting the Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration’s general fund will help our students thrive. We need your support.
