What are challenge gifts?

Challenges are created by generous individuals and companies that have pledged funds to a cause to create an incentive for others to give. Each challenge asks that a certain number of donors give to an area or cause to unlock $1,000+. The challenge gift is unlocked when the required number of donors make gifts to the specified area or cause.

Everyone's gift — no matter the amount — has the same power to unlock a challenge. Yes, that means that YOUR gift could be the one that unlocks $1,000+!

Can I help spread the word?

Yes! Tag your posts on social media with #allinforSacState and let your family, friends, and colleagues know about Give Sac State Day by encouraging them to make a gift to the Sac State cause they support.

If you'd like to become an official Give Sac State Day Ambassador, please click on the Ambassador option at the top of the page to access the corresponding toolkit.

What are Ambassadors?

The success of Give Sac State Day relies on how many people are made aware that it is happening. Ambassadors spread the word on social media to help us succeed. Being an ambassador is as simple as posting on social media, sending an email (or forwarding ours) to friends who may be interested, and/or distributing other provided materials. Ambassadors have access to a variety of tools that they can customize to help us spread the word. Plus, they receive gifts for their efforts!

Where will my gift to Sacramento State go?

It is up to you. Contribute toward your passion! Whether a college, department, cause, or student service program, you are providing opportunity and making a lasting impact on students. You can designate a fund for your gift, or give to programs like the Sac State Greatest Needs Fund, the President’s Circle, or the Dean’s Circle where funds help us meet the most pressing needs.

Gifts designated to a specific College, Department or program will go to the specific fund supporting that program or area. Gifts must always be used in accordance with your wishes and may not be reallocated to other programs without prior consent.

Are there other ways I can give?

Sacramento State accepts check/cash contributions. If you prefer to give this way, please email annualfund@csus.edu so we can update the Give Sac State Day Donor Wall to give you due recognition.

Sac State employees can setup payroll deduction by filling out this form.

You can also make recurring gifts to Sac State. The first installment will count toward our Give Sac State Day totals and your full pledge amount will be reflected in our pledge total to demonstrate your ongoing commitment.
