The Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship enables innovators and entrepreneurs to create impactful solutions. Actively engaged with the regional ecosystem, we are contributing to Sac State’s Anchor University initiative. We are working to build this region into a premier hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Carlsen Center at a Glance:
- 50+ new ideas supported in College Pitch Competitions
- 50+ students and entrepreneurs served in the Startup Challenge
- Over 100 ecosystem mentors activated through speed mentoring, cohort and pitch competition engagement, and guest speaking
- 20 new startups in Hivemind Cohort
- Supported in growing and sustaining the Stinger Expo – 40+ student vendors and 500+ students engaged
- Supported 30+ classes with workshops ranging from the entrepreneurial mindset and leadership to building a business model that succeeds
