The College of Arts & Letters is a proud part of the region’s growing creative economy and is a driving force in its cultural renaissance. Thanks to generous donors and friends, we nurture and empower our students to be critical and creative thinkers who will then become transformative leaders in their communities.

In the past year, philanthropy has made a difference in the lives of our students in multiple ways:

• Increasing the number of scholarships—both academic and experiential—so our students have every opportunity to earn their degree, while participating in life-changing programs like CSU Summer Arts.
• Supporting student and faculty collaborations that contribute meaningful content and programming to signature events like Festival of the Arts.
• Upgrading our facilities, allowing students to learn and practice with cutting edge technology, materials and equipment.

In the coming year, your donations will support and enhance our most recent college initiatives: 

• Increase the number of paid internships for our new Certificate in Arts & Culture Entrepreneurship.
• Provide state-of-the-art equipment and resources for our professional degrees.
• Create innovative curricula and community-based opportunities in new cross-disciplinary clusters and other Anchor initiatives like “Social Practice in the Arts”.
• Pursue outreach and recruitment opportunities to increase enrollment and close opportunity gaps in underserved communities.
