The Sacramento State School of Music is proud to provide a diverse offering of student ensembles, including symphonic wind ensemble, concert band, symphony orchestra, instrumental and vocal jazz, choir, opera, percussion, and a wide array of chamber groups from soloists and duos to quartets, quintets, and up to octets and nonets.
We offer a variety of performances and workshops featuring students, faculty, and guest artists to audience members of all ages throughout the Sacramento area and beyond. The School of Music also enjoys partnerships with community, friends, donors, and music-lovers to bring excellent musical entertainment, enrichment, and education to our city and region through long-running programs like the Festival of New American Music, the New Millennium Series, Piano Series, Winter Jazz Festival, and the Sacramento State String Project.
Donations to the School of Music support student scholarships, instrument upgrades and maintenance, travel and registration fees for competitions and performances, guest artists and master classes, and facility upgrades.
