We are proud in the Women's and Gender Studies Department to cultivate students who examine structures of power and advance gender, racial, and social justice. Our department empowers students to be agents of change in their communities and society. Recent student-led initiatives at Sacramento State have focused on efforts to educate the campus community on the impact of sexual assault and the prevention of sexual violence.
