For more almost 70 years, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders has remained committed to providing the community with exceptional speech, language, and hearing services through our on-campus clinic, the Maryjane Rees Language, Speech, and Hearing Center (MRLSHC). Not only have we graduated top-ranked clinicians over the years following our highly respected clinical education, we have positively impacted the lives of thousands of people across the life span by providing compassionate and quality-based services. And in Fall of 2020, we accepted our first class of Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our program and our students have had to adapt to new ways of learning. As the campus transitions back to in-person learning, our students are still feeling the impacts of the last two years. Students and faculty were challenged to keep sight of our academic community’s common goals, find alternative ways to serve our community and ensure the best education virtually. All of this was challenging for our students, but the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is invigorated by the opportunity to be back on campus and is committed to helping our students be successful during this time of transition and adversity. Your support has always, but especially during these times, helped us offer a leading education to our students. Please consider contributing to any of our Communication Sciences and Disorder funds. Thank you in advance for your support.
