The primary purpose of the Retirees Association is to invigorate and sustain the sense of community established among colleagues during their careers at California State University, Sacramento.
In other words—to keep in touch, enjoy each other's company, and maintain our engagement with the University community. Another important purpose is raising funds to support campus activities.

“My name is Sumaya Salem and I'm studying to obtain a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and Food. I aspire to work with organizations and agencies to improve the nutritional needs and outlook of minority and underrepresented communities. I am deeply appreciative and forever grateful for the Retirees Association scholarship as it has helped me pay my tuition this year and has brought me a step closer to graduating. My father, Ahmed Salem, is a Professor in the Computer Science department.”
