School of Music

The Sacramento State School of Music is proud to provide a diverse offering of performing ensembles, including symphonic wind ensemble, concert band, symphony orchestra, instrumental and vocal jazz, choir, opera and percussion. Additionally, we lead The Sac State Marching Band, the largest and loudest spirit organization on campus!

We offer a variety of performances and workshops to guests of all ages throughout the Sacramento region and beyond. And, we enjoy our partnerships with our community, friends, donors, and music-lovers to bring excellent musical entertainment and education to our city, like the Sacramento State String Project, New Millennium Series and Piano Series.

Donations to the School of Music support student scholarships, travel and registration fees for competitions and performances, and facility upgrades.
