Sacramento State’s new Makerspace is a hands-on, collaborative learning environment where students of all backgrounds can explore ideas and engage in creation and innovation. More than a science lab, design or art room, or woodshop, this is the ultimate versatile space for students to come together, explore ideas, and make our future.

The Makerspace encourages students to explore new ideas, solve complex problems, and discover real-world solutions for our future. The possibilities are endless:
- Using design thinking, teams of physical therapists, engineers, and designers can collaborate to design and make 3D-printed models of prosthetics for real-life application.
- Students and faculty can work together to write code for an evidence-based educational software program for K-12 students.
- Any student or group can take a real-life problem, develop a prototype or solution, and learn about what it takes to bring a product to market.
